This guide outlines technical specifications and standards for designing internal and external networks in new buildings and areas, particularly emphasizing fiber-optic network deployment. By adhering to these standards, new buildings will be equipped with infrastructure capable of supporting high-speed networks, reducing communication box sizes and costs by 30%, room areas and costs by 50%, and energy usage significantly. Implementing the guide is estimated to save developers and service providers around 13.5 million dirhams annually.

Additionally, it strengthens the UAE’s global leadership in home fiber optic network penetration and promotes the construction of smart and environmentally friendly buildings.
