The Vietnamese government is fast-tracking 5G deployment, 6G research, and space technology development to support its economic and digital transformation. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed the Ministry of Science and Technology to expedite 5G commercialization and next-gen telecommunications innovation.

The government’s key priorities for 2025 include accelerating economic growth, boosting public investment, and achieving a national GDP growth target of at least 8%. The strategy focuses on digital transformation, innovation, and enhancing digital infrastructure, with investments in broadband, telecommunications satellites, and space technology. The goal is to strengthen cybersecurity, support high-tech agriculture, and improve Vietnam’s global competitiveness.
