The Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) has issued a clarification on the documentation required to establish a valid chain of authorization for Type Approval applications. The update aims to ensure clear and verifiable relationships between manufacturers, qualified agents, importers, and testing laboratories.
Under the revised guidance, applicants must submit a manufacturer-issued authorization letter or agreement explicitly appointing a TRC-qualified agent to handle the Type Approval process and identifying the relevant importer for the Cambodian market. Where a testing laboratory is involved as an intermediary, additional authorization documents are required to establish a complete chain linking the manufacturer, laboratory, and qualified agent.
These requirements apply immediately to all new applications as well as ongoing submissions currently under review. The TRC has also provided a standardized template to support compliance. Manufacturers and stakeholders are advised to review their authorization structures to ensure alignment with the updated requirements and to avoid potential delays in Type Approval processing. |
