Following a public consultation held in December 2025, Ecuador’s Telecommunications Regulation and Control Agency (ARCOTEL) issued Resolution No. 03-02SO-ARCOTEL-2026, approving the comprehensive update of the National Frequency Plan (PNF) on 13 February 2026.
The resolution is based on Technical Report No. IT-CRDE-2026-005 and Legal Report No. ARCOTEL-CJDA-2026-0001, both endorsed by the ARCOTEL Executive Directorate. It repeals previous frequency allocation resolutions issued in 2021 and 2023, as well as any conflicting provisions.
The updated National Frequency Plan entered into force upon publication in the Official Register on 27 March 2026, establishing the revised spectrum framework applicable in Ecuador. |
