Phase V within the Compulsory Registration Order becomes effective in India from April 1, 2021.
The following 7 categories of products within Phase V will become mandatory for approval against BIS standards to get access to the Indian market:
Although the Notification on Phase V becomes applicable from April 2021, the testing and certification procedure of the above-mentioned categories of products against requirements of BIS standards can be already carried out.

Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) released a list of products that are subject for BIS
The MEITY in India decided on 1 OCT 2020 that BIS approval is required for the following products:
Wireless microphone, Digital Camera, Video Camera, Webcam, Smart Speakers, Dimmers for LED products, Bluetooth Speakers.
Starting 1 APR 2021, such devices will require BIS approval. You may check the official Gazette under the following link.
