Rwanda Utilities and Regulatory Authority (RURA) issued its updated “Guidelines 008/G/R/SM-ICT/RURA/2019 of 15/11/2019 on the Use of Short Range Devices (SRDs)” on November 15, 2019. These guidelines outline and reconfirm the mandatory type approval requirements for SRDs in Rwanda. The document also shows the available frequency bands and output power limits for SRDs in Rwanda. All SRDs must comply with these new guidelines by February 15, 2020.
