Senegal authority ARTP has published the updated new type approval regulation. Based on the Decision No. 2021-011 one sample will be required for type approval application process, coming to effect from January 1st, 2022. The main changes based on the decision No 2004-002/ART/DG/DRC/D are :

• Sample will required
• Certificate Validity will be changed from unlimited to 5Year
• Local Testing is mandatory
• Label required

Senegal’s Autorité de Régulation des Télécommunications et des Postes (ARTP) is carrying out a public consultation on the subject “Internet of Things”, the aim of which is to review the current open frequencies in Senegal as listed in Decision N ° 2004-005 .
