The Syrian Telecommunications & Post Regulatory Authority will start to request Safety Test Reports according to EN 62368-1 from 20 December 2020 onwards, when Type Approval is requested.

Summary of changes:

• The standard EN 62368 will be mandatory for the new applications.
• For the approved models before December 20, 2020, the old standards still can be accepted for renewal applications

SY-TPRA will no longer accept test reports depending on IEC 60950-1 / IEC 60065 after 20.12.2020 and will replace it with the standard EN 62368

Only renewal certificates will be accepted for the products approved on the old standards
