A significant update to the technical specification of short-range radio communication devices, which will take effect from September 2023, has been announced by the Infocommunications Media Development Authority in Singapore. Technical specifications have been modified by the following main changes:
Revised Maximum Field Strengths:
- – For 13.553-13.567 MHz, the maximum field strength has been changed from 94 dBμV/m at 10m to a maximum RF output power of 10 mW (e.r.p.).
- – For 40.66-40.7 MHz, it’s been revised from 65 dBμV/m at 10m to a maximum RF output power of 10 mW (e.r.p.).
- – For 180.00-200.00 MHz, the specifications have shifted from 112dBuV/m at 10m to a maximum RF output power of 10mW and 50mW (e.r.p.).
