| India’s WPC has introduced new compliance requirements (6 March 2026) to allow operation in the 5925–6425 MHz band under an updated regulatory framework. The update mainly affects wireless devices previously approved without 6 GHz enabled, even if technically capable. Manufacturers can now re-certify these devices to activate the lower 6 GHz band. To comply, manufacturers must cancel existing approvals within 30 days, ensure devices do not operate in the 6 GHz band until re-certified, and obtain a new ETA certificate reflecting the updated frequency support. |
