Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Regulates Spectrum Bands for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) to Ensure Optimal Use and Transparency
The spectrum bands identified for the International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) are considered to have the highest economical value due to their critical role in providing high quality wireless broadband services.
These bands are identified internationally through the ITU Radio Regulations to ensure a global harmonization and enable a large equipment ecosystem operating in these bands. This regulatory document identifies the IMT spectrum bands and regulates the use of these bands in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The document includes the available access regimes, assigning and licensing regulations , enforcement, and other related regulations.
The main objectives of this document is to promote the optimal spectrum use and ensure the clarity and transparency in the assignment procedures used for spectrum identified for IMT.
