Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has updated its certification requirements for Bluetooth and other 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz radio devices under NBTC Technical Standard TS 1035-2562. The update clarifies that electrical safety test reports are now mandatory for Bluetooth devices as part of the Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity (SDoC).
The change expands earlier rules that applied only to Wi-Fi equipment, bringing Bluetooth, BLE, Zigbee, SRDs, IoT devices, and Wi-Fi products under the same safety scope.
From 1 February 2026, certification applications must include RF test reports, SAR reports (if applicable), and electrical safety test reports demonstrating compliance with standards such as IEC 60950-1, IEC 62368-1, or TIS 1561–2013. Applications submitted before 31 January 2026 may still proceed without the safety report under transitional arrangements. |
