The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has published an updated Radio Frequency Policy, effective immediately. The policy includes several changes, including the addition of a new frequency band in the 5GHz range:
Key Changes to the Radio Frequency Policy:
- • 5GHz Band: The 5GHz band now includes a newly allowed frequency band of 5.470 – 5.650 GHz.
- • Maximum Transmitter Output Power: The maximum allowed transmitter output power for the 5.470 – 5.650 GHz band is 1W (30 dBm).
- • Maximum Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP): The maximum effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) for the 5.470 – 5.650 GHz band is 4W (36 dBm).
