Singapore’s Parliament passed the Competition (Amendment) Bill,  transferring consumer product safety and legal metrology functions from Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) to the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS). The amendments also update the Competition Act 2004, the Enterprise Singapore Board Act 2018, as well as related legislation including the Consumer Protection (Trade Descriptions and Safety Requirements) Act 1975 and the Weights & Measures Act 1975.
