Equipment with WWAN technology requires approval

The CRC-Colombia has confirmed that as of October 1, all equipment with WWAN technology requires approval from the CRC, mandatory, regardless of whether it has voice or data functionality. 

The requirements for the NATIONAL CERTIFICATE as below:

National Certificate CRC.

1) Technical Specifications Document, that includes the frequency and power ranges in which the equipment operates.

2) Letter from the GSMA, showing the TAC (Type Allocation Code) assigned to the make and model of the mobile terminal equipment

3) Certificates:

* For Mobile Terminal Equipment, for FCC Part 22H (Band 850MHz), FCC Part 24E (Band 1900MHz).

* For Mobile Terminal Equipment, for 700MHz frequency bands (B28) and to the 2500MHz bands (B7 and B38), certificates issued by Notified Bodies (NB) recognized by the R&TTE Directive, which meets ETSI (EN) Standards.

4) Certificate or MPE Report, or SAR Report, according to IEEE Std. C95.1 or ICNIRP, ITU K.52.

5) User Manual.

6) Images (photographs) of the device, showing label with Brand, Model and IMEI.

7) Documentation that shows the functional relationship of the host device and the internal WWAN module (if apply).

8) Include “Module Declaration Letters”
