Singapore’s Cyber Security Agency (CSA) plans to strengthen cybersecurity labelling requirements for residential routers under its Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme (CLS) to enhance the security of home network devices. The update aims to address evolving cyber risks, improve consumer awareness of device security levels, and encourage manufacturers to adopt stronger security-by-design practices.

As a result, manufacturers will need to meet higher cybersecurity standards, potentially adjusting product design, testing, and certification processes. This initiative aligns with global efforts to improve the security of consumer IoT devices and build more resilient digital ecosystems.
