| To protect the public from possible losses arising from the use of non-cellular low power wide area network telecommunications equipment, as well as to ensure connectivity in telecommunications networks, the SDPPI has prepared a Draft Decree of the Minister of Communication and Informatics concerning Technical Standards for Non-cellular Low Power Wide Area Network Telecommunications Equipment, which must be fulfilled by every non-cellular low power wide area network telecommunications equipment manufactured, assembled, and/or imported, for trading and/or use in the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Non-cellular low power wide area network telecommunications equipment must be permanently factory locked so that it can only work on radio frequency bands as stipulated in this Ministerial Decree.
