The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through the Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC), has simplified the process for registering drones, making it quicker, easier, and fully virtual.

To operate a drone in Peru, it is mandatory to register it with the DGAC and obtain pilot authorization, with some exceptions under Law No. 30740.

It’s recommended to have all the drone’s technical data and the owner’s personal information on hand before starting the process.

Previously, this required submitting the “Appendix A” form with technical and personal data, which could take up to 30 business days to process. With the new system, registration is completed in minutes.
