The Ministry of Science and Technology has issued Circular No. 52/2025/TT-BKHCN on 31 December 2025, introducing the revised national technical regulation QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for mobile communications equipment. The regulation will take effect on 16 February 2026.
QCVN 86:2025/BKHCN sets updated EMC limits and compliance requirements for mobile terminals and ancillary equipment used in digital cellular networks, replacing previous EMC standards. The regulation ensures that devices operate without causing or being affected by electromagnetic interference.
Manufacturers and importers must ensure all relevant cellular products meet the new EMC requirements, update testing and conformity documentation, and align assessments with the updated technical standards before placing equipment on the Vietnamese market. |
