Open public consultation for the upcoming 3.4 and 3.7 GHz bands auction

ACMA open public consultation draft for auction of Frequency 3. .4 GHz (3400–3575 MHz) and the 3.7 GHz (3700–3800 MHz) bands. his is expected to occur in the last quarter of 2023. In preparation for the auction. The draft describe:

** The products we are offering in the auction

** The rules and procedures we propose will govern the auction

** The technical framework for operating devices in the bands.

The consultation also includes proposed approach to manage the coexistence of wireless broadband services with radio altimeters on aircraft which operate in the 4200–4400 MHz band. This aspect is applicable to all allocations, including the future allocations in 3.4–4.0 GHz in remote areas and AWLs in the 3.8 GHz band.

IMDA open public consultation for 6GHz Frequency band

Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore has issued a public consultation on the proposed allocation of the 6 GHz spectrum band for RLAN / Wi-Fi use in Singapore.
IMDA proposes to allocate the lower 500 MHz of the 6 GHz band, i.e., 5,925 MHz – 6,425 MHz, for RLAN / Wi-Fi use.

All submissions must reach IMDA by 12 noon on 14 March 2023

submit soft copies, with the subject header “Public Consultation on Proposed Allocation of 6 GHz Band in Singapore”, via email to: Consultation@imda.gov.sg.

MIC Vietnam published a Draft Circular

The Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC) of Vietnam has published a Draft Circular that will replace Circular 02/2022/TT-BTTTT, “Regulations on List of products and goods potentially to cause unsafety under the governance of the Ministry of Information and Communications.”

Type approval certificates must be updated to the new standard and receive the new test reports for the new safety or EMC standards, which are clearly stated in the new circular.

MIC added new standards compared to Circular 02/2022/TT-TT-BTTTT:

  • QCVN 130:2022/BTTTT – RF EMC Standard for Wireless Audio Devices
  • QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT – Safety Standard for Tablets, desktop, and laptop computers, DECT Phone, Set Top Box, and Televisions
  • QCVN 131:2022/BTTTT – RF Standard for EUTRA NB-IoT
  • QCVN 18:2022/BTTTT – RF EMC Standard for Radar 76-77 GHz and 5G
  • QCVN 65:2013/BTTTT will be invalid, and QCVN 65:2021/BTTTT will be mandatory

The Draft Circular will come into effect on July 1, 2023

The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) Open public consultation on Framework for Fifth Generation (5G) Public Mobile Telecommunications Networks (Second of Two Rounds).

This is the second round of public consultation on the development of 5G technology in Trinidad and Tobago. The purpose of the consultation is to gather opinions and suggestions from the community on the development of 5G networks in the country.

The deadline for submitting comments is Friday, February 24th, 2023, and comments should be submitted using the form on their website or by email: consultation@tatt.org.tt

On January 4, 2023 MIIT Opens Public Consultation on Draft Regulation on 900 MHz Band RFID and UWB Equipment. In order to promote the development of the radio industry, improve the efficiency of spectrum use, and strengthen the management of radio transmission equipment, the Radio Management Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized the “Regulations on the Application of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology in the 800/900MHz Band (Trial)” (No. 〔2007〕No. 205) and the revision of the Regulations on Frequency Use of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Technology (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology No. 〔2008〕354)

Open public consultation on the availability of spectrum in the 700 MHz

The National Communications Authority (Autoridade Nacional de Comunicacoes, ANACOM) has Open public consultation on the availability of spectrum in the 700 MHz on 27 December 2022. This consultation intends to gather the position of the various players in the market regarding current interest in the sub-bands that remain available: 733MHz-758MHz designated as duplex gap, and 694MHz-703MHz and 788MHz-791MHz designated as guard bands, respective conditions of access and use, as well as the applicable timetable for its distribution.
