The purpose of the order is to define the safety procedures for handling sensitive equipment when its permissions or approvals for buying, importing, or using it have been withdrawn or permanently canceled by the relevant authorities. It also outlines how this equipment should be managed and disposed of ultimately.

Algeria’s Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Communications Électroniques (ARPCE) announced that all applicants seeking approval to take a sample from Customs services for approval purposes: please note that in order to be authorized to take a sample, you must provide a document called “Commitment for Taking a Sample for Approval Purposes”. The document should be signed, dated, and sealed by the legal representative of the legal entity or their agent. Additionally, the document must be submitted alongside a complete approval application file.

The Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Communications Électroniques (ARPCE) in Algeria has updated the Decision No. 28 / SP / PC / ARPCE / 2019 of October 16, 2019, on the approval procedure for terminal equipment and radio installations.
Important Decisions are:
*Activity codes for manufacturing and importing these devices are still required, however the wording has been amended to allow for ongoing changes relating to importer activity codes.
*ARPCE requires importers of approved devices to advised ARPCE of the serial numbers and IMEI of the devices within one month of putting the devices on the market in Algeria.

On 2020-01-20, the Algerian Republic published the JOURNAL OFFICIEL DE LA REPUBLIQUE ALGERIENNE N°05
New list of Characteristics of short-range devices used in the establishment of private internal radio networks have been published.
The maximum allowed Output Power / maximum magnetic field level has been defined for several frequency bands from 9 KHz – 246 GHz considering different applications like inductive, RFID, medical, general ISM applications and Radars.
Now the 77 GHz Band with limitation of 1W maximum output power is possible.
