Nicaragua’s telecommunications regulator, El Instituto Nicaragüense de Telecomunicaciones y Correos (TELCOR), announced the publication of *Acuerdo Administrativo N° 004-2025*, which approves the Regulation for the Homologation of Telecommunications Equipment. The regulation was officially issued on November 18, 2025, and has entered into force.

According to TELCOR, the new regulation does not introduce major changes to the existing homologation application requirements. Instead, it formalizes and maintains the current procedures governing the approval of telecommunications equipment for use in the country. The move provides regulatory continuity for manufacturers, importers, and service providers operating in Nicaragua’s telecommunications market.
